America has been playing a leader in the world since Wrold War I. Among nearly one century, America influences deeply in our daily life, from global economics to the way we think. Also, English has become the most common language we use as a tool to communicate with the world.

In my opinion, English is an indispensable language that each of us have to learn. Fist, in spite of the fact that many other powerful countries in the world don't speak English as their native language, they still choose English as a tool to communicate with each other because English is easier to learn and to speak. As a result, these powerful countries often use English to publish the newest information. Second, international business leads to companies put great emphasis on English ability when they hire employees. As a consequence, if we have a better English ability, we have more opportunities to get a job than others. Last but not least, in reality, English often plays an important part in school grades in Taiwan. To do well on academics, we really have no choice but to learn English well.

In short, we can't learn without English if we don't want to be limited in Taiwan. English is not only a language but also a global bridge bewteen each different counties.
