lab6 Nash
The issues that we talked about, including honesty/dishonesty, police, and racism are very interesting. The pros of using the lab, is that while we’re talking about racism, I can surf the net and find more historical information on racism. Also the lab has strong air-conditioning which I enjoy very much especially in a humid place like NCCU
I enjoy this class very much, and I hope I can see everyone including Teacher Simon around school next semester. But I don’t want to see teacher Simon in the classroom, I don’t want to FAIL!!!!!!!!

Allen's Lab Homework(6)
The five dimension of person trait is OCEAN, which is a abbreviated name of open, conscientious, extroverted, agreeable, and nervous. I got the lowest score in "conscientious", which mean I am a disorganized guy. I am often careless in my life. I usually forgot something important or lose anything you can image. And just as the website of questionnaire described, I have a messy desk!
I think that the big five test doesn't perform magic. In fact, it faithfully reflect what you key in the keyboard. However, when I answered the questions, I found that I seldom think of some of questions in my daily life. Therefore, it is a good way to see the way in which you see yourself and reveals some different view about yourself. In my case, the most impressive one is that what I think about who I am is still different from the one the result of questionnaire reveals. For example, I orginally thought that I can hadle social situations well even thought I think I am shy, too. But the result reflect that I tend to shy away from the social situations in comparison to others who done the same questionnaire. In addition, I never think that I am easy to express irritaion with other, which is a unexpected outcome for me. It show either something wrong during I answer the question or the woeful ignorance of me. Whichever the answer is, it is interesting to do the questionnaire of person traits.
Angel's lab 6 homework
People know that girls like the personality tests, and I am a girl just like others. Surfing on the Net to find an interesting personality is one of my hobbies, I have noticed that many of personality tests on the Net work by asking us lots of questions and then give us some conclusions. “Big Five Test” is what I just found on the Net, and I think it is acupuncture and interesting.
Here is my result.
http://www.outofservice.com/bigfive/results/?oR=0.8&cR=0.639&eR=0.906&aR=0.694&nR=0.594&y=1990&g=f
I think the result is absolutely correct and I think that is me! I’m neither extremely forgiving nor irritable, tend to became anxious and nervous, and the most precise is that the test said I am extremely outgoing, social, and energetic!
The most dishonest thing I’ve done ---Angel
My parents were too angry to stay calm, they went to the kindergarten immediately and found my homeroom teacher. The teacher was so surprise to hear that when my parents ask her “Why did you give my kid physical punishments?” The teacher told them maybe it was a misunderstanding, and she found some of my classmates who were still stay in the classroom at that time. My classmates didn’t know what is happened, so they just tell the truth. And we all know that the truth is, my teacher didn’t do any physical punishment to me. After every evidences point out that I told a big lie, my parents felt very embarrassed and apologize to my homeroom teacher.
That night, I was commanded to stay in the stockroom as a punishment for my dishonest behavior. I have to say, that is the most dishonest thing I’ve ever done.

The FIFA Homework
It was great to talk to you on the phone last Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to our trip. Just to confirm, we will be at Johannesburg from June 20th to 26th. I was surprised when you said it is going to be your first time seeing the World Cup. And it will be my pleasure to show you the soccer world. To begin with, let’s see the Brazil’s match to be in high spirits. It will be held on 20th the day we just arrived. Don’t worry about jet lag problem. The match will start at night and we have a lot of time to adjust.
I was wondering after you get to know the World Cup better, we can join the match on 24th. The Cup holder team Italy versus Slovakia. I’m sure it will be a wonderful game. Besides, we can try some Africa food and to understand the country better. Not through the reports on TV or the pictures on magazine, but in our eyes.
Anyway, here are my ideas and we can add some plans if you get one. I'm really looking forward to our first experience for the World Cup live show.
Best wishes

World Cup Trip
I arranged our schedule to South Africa on my own and I hope that you would like it.
Here's the schedule. We can get to Johannesburg, the capital of SA, on June 16. Stay for a night and then rent a car, driving to Cape Town ourselves. I know it will take a long time, but our tickets at Cape Town are England v.s. Algeria at June 18. After the match, we can take our time at Cape Town, which is said to be a beautiful city. People say that there is famous for wnies, and I think that's time we spend money.
Then, drive to Durban. Our second match will be Brazil v.s. Portugal at June 25. I've heard that there are some special casino. We can make our fortune there, maybe.
After two exciting and exhausting matches, it's time to relax ourselves. We can go to the well-known Kruger National Park to see many kinds of wild animal. Take a jeep, wandering on a wasteland and surrounded by elephants and zebras. I think that would be a wonderful experience.
In the end, go back to Johannesburg and return the car. We can also stay for a couple of days befoer we leave SA.
Let me know if you have any idea.
Best wishes,
Thomas
The FIFA Homework
Dear Benson
It was great to talk to you on the phone yesterday. Just to confirm, we will watch the matches in Johannesburg and stay there from June 14 to 21. When we spoke, you mentioned that you want to cheer for Brazil, so we can choose one or two matches on 15th and 21st. It will be held in Soccer City Stadium and Ellis Park Stadium.
I was wondering whether you have other plans or not. If not, we can arrange some activities during this trip. I have searched some webs, which recommend plenty of places where must to go. We can know much about Johannesburg’s culture and history by visiting Newtown, but I think you prefer to Sandton, which has many restaurants and serve lots of delicious Africa food. Another choice is Sun City, a perfect place for tourists, where provides not only a variety of entertainment and facilities, but also a safari park that you can experience wildlife.
Anyway, the above are just my proposal and we have many details to discuss. I'm really looking forward to our trip.
Best wishes

FIFA Trip
It was great to talk to you on the phone yesterday. I'm really looking forward to our trip. Just to confirm, we will leave Taiwan on July first, after our final exam. And soon arrive in South Africa. Maybe we will miss the live show about the World Cup, but we can follow it through television. And the most important reason to make us come to South Africa is play, play, and play. To begin with, we will enjoy our first night in Gold Reef City, a fantastic Casino. Then the second day we will spend our all day in Wilderness National Park, in order to enjoy wild life. In addition, we can visit the museum and castle of Good Hope, the oldest building in South Africa.
I was wondering if you mind to join some activities, which need swimming for a while. If you do not mind, maybe we can try to dive around the coast. I have heard that South Africa has a beautiful sea slight.
When we spoke, you mentioned that you planned to go to Germany and Italy. But do you think they are a little far away from South Africa. Even though I believe there are a lot of amazing things in those two countries. Maybe we could go next time.
Anyway this plan is just too basic to make our trip come true. Maybe we need more time and more information to know about South Africa. So I found a useful website talking about it. I wish you can find more ideas from it. http://www.southafrica.net/sat/content/en/za/home
Best wishes

The FIFA homework
It was great to talk to you on the phone yesterday. I’m really looking forward to our trip. Just to confirm, the plan which we discussed yesterday. We are going to South Africa on June 19 and we will leave there on June 24. We will meet each other at Taoyuan International Airport at 6:30 on June 19 and head for Johannesburg together by airplane at 7 o’clock. The first match we watch is Brazil against Côte d'Ivoire on June 20. And the second match we watch is Nigeria against Korea Republic in Durban on June 22.
I was wondering have you booked the FIFA world Cup Tickets yet. I think that we have to hurry for fear that the tickets will be sold out.
When we spoke, you mentioned that after watching the match in Durban, we can enjoy the beautiful beaches and go surfing there. But do you think we can go to the Kruger National Park which is the famous site in South Africa ? We can see a lot of wild animals and take many pictures with them there. The landscape there must be very special. Also, we can enjoy the exotic food in other cities in South Africa.
Anyway I think it must be a great trip to South Africa. I am really excited in our trip.
Best wishes

Our FIFA Trip (Iris & Taco)
It was great to talk to you on the phone last week. I am really looking forward to our trip to South Africa. Just to confirm, the game we are going to watch is Portugal versus Brazil which will be held in Durban Stadium on 25th June. As a result, we will be arrive in Durban on 24th June and leave there on 26th June.
I found two hotels. One is SunCoast Hotel & Towers. Another is Garden Court Umhlanga. The former is more expensive but it take less time to get to the stadium. So, it depends on our budget. Maybe we need to discuss about this quickly for fear that we will have no accommodations.
When we spoke, you mentioned that you want to go to the beach. I suggest that we can choose SunCoast Hotel & Towers because it has a very beautiful beach!! I think it is worthy to spend money!!
Any way, I hope that we can reach a consensus as soon as possible.Wish we have a perfect trip!!!
Best wishes,
Iris

The FIFA homework
I am so glad to talk to you last Tuesday. And we reached our conclusion soon. That is, we are going to South Africa to join the FIFA!
Because the match we want to watch is Germany versus Australia, according to the time schedule, we need to arrive at Durban on June 13th in the morning to be in time for the game at 20:30. We can buy our tickets together. Do you prefer the airplane or the boat?
Other than this, we also made an agreement that we are going to Madagascar after the game. Actually, the movie, Madagascar, is the main reason that we want to go there. We will see a lot of wild animals! I think we must go on a tour because Madagascar is a totally different country from us, and backpacking is quite difficult for two girls.
To sum up, I am looking forward to this trip. Hope the day comes soon!
Sincerely yours,
Lindsey
(Actually, the game had been ended and Germany was won by 4:0. But we didn't change our dicision because we have made it last Tuesday!)
Our World Cup trip in South Africa
It was great to talk to you on the phone the other day. I'm really looking forward to our trip. Just to confirm, on June 14th, we will set off our FIFA trip and head to Cape Town. We will probably arrive in the morning and watch the game with Italy to Paraguay at 20:30. We can stay and have fun in the capital city for about five days, and then travel to Durban on June 19th to watch the game with Japan to Netherlands at 13:30. In Durban, there are numerous beautiful beaches for us to stay for two days! After that, we may head to Joannesburg on June 21th to enjoy the game with Spain versus Honduras at night. In the cultural abundant city, we can check around for another five days and have the most amazing experience in South Africa, then shall we bring back all the spectacular and unforgettable memories back home!
When we spoke, you mentioned about going to a zoo. But could you suggest a best place to see wild animals? I believe there should be places like safari for tourists to experience in the wild life, which would definitely be the coolest thing I've ever been through!
Best wishes,
Ya-Ping

dishonest me (DAMA)
I can share some interesting experiences with you. During my student time before the college, my parents control my daily life and even my friendship. Maybe I exaggerate it somehow, but I believe that some of you have experienced this kind of life. So I kept telling my parents lies to make myself out of house, hang out with my friends and celebrate my birthday with senior boys. I did feel guilty then, but I can't stand the pressure my parents gave on me. What's more, they haven't find that I even got a boyfriend till now. And I won't tell them the truth in the future.
The lies always happen in the situation that we can't show the truth. I can't talk to my mom about my boyfriend or I will be grounded. And I think that the lies I made won't harm anyone. It benefits everyone, sometimes dishonesty is necessary.
FIFA task
It's great to talk to you on the phone yesterday. I am surprised that you are planning to attend in FIFA, the soccer festival in SA, too.
Have you bought the ticket yet? Well...As I mentioned on the phone, my sister has another plan on her vacation, so I think that she won't go to SA with me. As the result, are you willing to go with me? I can provide you the tickets at the lower price.
And Durban is the destination on the tickets haha. So I think that we should prepare the bikini to enjoy the beach. Reply me soon~
Best wishes.
your friend Dama
The FIFA Homework
It was a nice talk on the phone on Tuesday. I would like to invite you to go with me to South Africa to watch the World Cup, and cheer for Spain on June 16. I want to make sure that if it is okay for you to go with me.
If you go with me, we will watch the game on June 16 in Durban Stadium, and we are going to stay in 29 On St James hotel. It is a four star hotel, it offers meals, tours, and transport. In addition, there has a lot of recreational facilities in this hotel like beach, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. If you want to swim there, and don`t forget to bring your swimming suit. I think that it will be very convenient to have a stay in this four star hotel.
When we had a chat about going to South Africa to watch the World Cup, you mentioned that you want to cheer for Korea. The game is on June 12, and it is in Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth Stadium. It is a little bit far from Durban, but I think may be we can go Nelson Mandela Bay first, and be backpackers to Durban. We can have a lot of adventure during the trip between Nelson Mandela Bay to Durban.
Anyway I`m so looking forward to this awesome plan to South Africa, and hope that you can go with me.
Best wishes
Janet

The most dishonest thing I’ve done - Charlotte
When I was a child, my parents always told me to be honest. It’s a kind of virtue that we treat other people with honesty. However, when facing some situations, we usually choose to cheat others instead of saying the truth. Sometimes it may make people feel better, but most of the time, it actually make ourselves feel comfortable. The following is a most dishonest thing I’ve done.
My best friend in junior high was extremely good at taking notes. She could precisely take down what teacher said in the class. Therefore, everyone in our class liked to borrow notebooks from her. She was so nice that she would lend everyone who needed them. Only one thing she cared about was everyone who borrowed them should keep them neat and tidy. Nevertheless, one time when I was eating beef noodle at home, I split it and it flow over one of the notebooks of my friend. At that time, I was frightened and didn’t know how to do. Afraid of being blamed, I didn’t tell my best friend but just put her notebook back on her desk next day. When she found her notebook stained by oil, she was angry but didn’t know who did it. After that, she decided not to lend notebooks to everyone.
Although I didn’t confess at last, I always feel guilty when the thing came into my head. If I could go back to that time, I would rather choose to be honest than tell a lie.

Tracy:Hi Hank. What's wrong?
Hank :I have planed to go to South Africa whatching the World Cup for a long time. But there was a bad news that my friend can't go with me because of a heavy sick. Can you go with me?
Tracy:What a surprise! I was planning to go to see the World Cup, too! And my friend can't go with me for the same reason! A terrible sick.
Hank :That's great! Oh...no..., I means...how terrible! God bless them...
Tracy:So, what else attractions do you plan to go?
Hank :I seached some information on the internet, and I think that we must go to the Kruger National Park! There are lots of animal like elephants, lion, giraffe and so on. It is the world's greatest animal kingdom!
Tracy:Sounds great! And I want to visit the university of cape town! It's one of the most amous college in the world!
Hank :How about going to the Cape of Good Hope! It must be very beautiful!
Tracy:Yeah, let's have a dinner and discuss it, do you have time later?
Hank :Yes, see you ten minutes later at 伊果.

The most dishonest....(Iris)
When I was a senior high school student, my mathematics teacher was very strict. To make sure that our parents really knew our situations in every examination, he asked us to have our parents' signature on the paper when we handed in the corrected version. However, my mathematics was very poor, so what my teacher ordered became a nightmare because my father is very strict. To avoid being scolded by my father, I forged my father's signature. And I did it several times.
It was really dishonest, wasn't it? I feel guilty even now...If I could choose again, I would make every effort to progress my math instead of lying.
