Talking about honesty, I felt that people, or just me, become more and more dishonest when growing up. When we were a child, we usually do the things which we thought right, but maybe not benefits ourselvels; and when we grew up, we do the things which is definitely good to us, but not exactly correct. Maybe it is just a way to adjust ourselvels to the society, which is sadly necessary.
I remember once when I was in elementary school; I was playing just outside of my home, suddenly a wind blew, and a one-hundred dollar bill landed next to my feet. I thought that I should not take the money because it is not mine, so I asked several people passed aside me, and all of they said no, I still remember what the last person said to me: "If it was you who found it, then it is yours!" , then I came back home with the money and told my mom all of the story. I was wondering whether it is right to do so that time, sounds alittle bit stupid, but I did wonder.
But just like what I said about honesty above, I don't think I will still ask passerbys if I found money on the street now. And when I recalled this story, I came up with another question: if I was the passerby being asked, will I answer "Yes, it is my money." ? Thinking of this, the people I asked that time is quite honest.
Well I suppose the people you asked were adults, so NT$100 didn't seem much to them. I think to pretend that and take the money off a kid would be a bit mean!
