Iris' homework

I think task two was very interesting. In task two, I searched for the "Keep Australia White" policy. Browsing a lot of information, knowing that Australia government enforced a law to restrict "non-white" immigration from 1901 to 1973. Because of gold rushes, many Chinese went to Australia, hoping to make a big fortune. In such a competition, there were many conflicts between white people and chinese people. Therefore, Australia government enforced this policy until 1973.
Then, teacher told us to put on our headphones, making a real phone call at random to tell the partner what we had seareched. I felt a little excited because it was my first time learning in this way.
Another task that I did was task five. Teacher provided a website which has many challenges to test our decision-making in some situations. I got 11 and I think maybe I can be a good police officer someday!? Ha ha! I had a lot of fun in this class.

  1. Good post. The historical events you mention are referred to as "the Gold Rush" (not plural).
