The news I choose from BBC is the news about the 2012 olympic I have been concerned about. Here it is. http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/content/articles/2008/04/02/north_west_olympics_s13_w6_feature.shtml
A word Manchester aroused my interest.
At first, I guess this word means somewhere of England. Then I type this word on Virtual Language Centre. This is a dictionary which will give the detailed definition of the word you want to search. The result is as the following:
1. Manchester noun a city in northwestern England (30 miles east of Liverpool); heart of the most densely populated area of England.
2. Manchester noun largest city in New Hampshire; located in southeastern New Hampshire on the Merrimack river.
3. Manchester terrier noun breed of short-haired black-and-tan terrier developed in Manchester England.
The second dictionary I use is ForBetterEnglish.com. It is a dictioary which will give you many sentences invovled the word you want to search. There some examples:
1. We are doing a limited Buy one get one free on manchester united shares .
2. At Superbikes Manchester you will find the best selection of quality used superbikes for sale in greater manchester and the north west uk .
3.Let fujr manchester airport parking service take care of your airport parking needs today and reserve a parking space .
After this class, I realized that there are so many dictionaries on line that we can use. Thanks to Simon's providing so many interesting ways for us to learn English.

Interesting comments. I suppose that there are other places where you could search for a place name, though.
