It was great to talk to you on the phone the other day. I'm really looking forward to our trip. Just to confirm, on June 14th, we will set off our FIFA trip and head to Cape Town. We will probably arrive in the morning and watch the game with Italy to Paraguay at 20:30. We can stay and have fun in the capital city for about five days, and then travel to Durban on June 19th to watch the game with Japan to Netherlands at 13:30. In Durban, there are numerous beautiful beaches for us to stay for two days! After that, we may head to Joannesburg on June 21th to enjoy the game with Spain versus Honduras at night. In the cultural abundant city, we can check around for another five days and have the most amazing experience in South Africa, then shall we bring back all the spectacular and unforgettable memories back home!
I was wondering if you would like to take a boat to visit some nearby islands when we are in Cape Town. The local people say it is one of the "must" to take a boat ride to Rodden Island for visitors who wants to explore the historical context of South Africa which represents hope, triumph and freedom. While the Island was discovered over a century ago, it shot into international arena as a prison where political activists in South Africa were imprisoned. It is here that some of the country's struggle heroes like Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Walter Sisulu, Govan Mbeki and many others were imprisoned for many years for their refusal to embrace the apartheid system. It should be the main attraction for us to go and indulge in the history and nature build-up feast.
When we spoke, you mentioned about going to a zoo. But could you suggest a best place to see wild animals? I believe there should be places like safari for tourists to experience in the wild life, which would definitely be the coolest thing I've ever been through!

Anyway, the above should be our basic schedule and tourism planning, hope to hear from you soon, and I am extremely excited for our World Cup trip to South Africa!

Hi, there. I feel very lucky to have a thoughtful travel partner like you, Ya-Ping. You schemed out the trip and even posted the match schedule. Your kindness makes it easier for us to deliberate our travel plan.
ReplyDeleteYes, we will be in Cape Town for 5 days as we had discussed earlier. After the venue series finishes, we should head to Kalk Bay to enjoy the best seafood feast in the town. I suggest we can stay in a camp hotel instead of an ordinary accommodation. In the next 4 days, we could hang out in the city, Robben Island and Table Mountain are the must-see travel spots. If you are quiet interested in history of Cape Town, a museum in the city can make us know more about the historical development in Cape Town. Surely, we can visit V&A Waterfront as well, which is a perfect place for shopping and relaxing. If time permits, we can take a shiptour to see the miraculous landscapes.
On June 19th, after arriving Durban and checking in, we should go to dine in a restaurant along the coastline lest we should miss the most gorgeous sunset in Durban. Since we do not have much time in Durban, hanging out at the beach and enjoying the scenic seaview would prevent us from exhaustion.
After flying to Johannesburg, we still have sufficient time to spend before the game with Spain versus Honduras. Why don`t we take our time and wander around the city to snap some shots? On the second day, we will visit Madiba Freedom Museum. As you mentioned, South Africa dedicated much sweat and blood to precious democracy and delayed freedom. I believe that both of us would like to know more about South Africa`s journey to democracy. And I sought some information about The Zoology Museum, in which we can spend a whole day to experience our wild life. I hope we would have fun with wild animals there if they are pretty tamed rather than fierce. If time permits, we can take a township to west suburb to explore an different Johannesburg. Seaview of beach can probably ease our minds and gratify our spirit. Soaking in the sea and enjoying the peaceful scene make the perfect end of our World Cup trip.
Hope everything goes well on the travel plan and our final exam. Enjoy your summer vacation and take care. I can`t wait to watch the matches.
Best regards,
Cece
