The most honest thing I have ever done

The most honest thing I have ever done is turning someone’s wallet. Last year when I was new to the college, I went to the ladies' room in Chung-Cheng library. Unexpectedly, I found a wallet lain on the paper towel after I flushed. It was heavy and quite big. I was shocked and promptly finished washing my hands and turned it in to the counter without opened it.

The librarian was calm and asked me to open it to see if there were any identity cards. Fortunately, there was a student ID card in the wallet. The librarian asked me to leave my contact information.

In fact, I had hesitated whether to turn in the wallet or just left it there. Because such thing have never happen to me before. But I still ended up turning it, when I thought if I was the one who lost the wallet. To stand in someone’s shoes made me to do the right things. I still think that I have done what I can with no regret in heart.

  1. That's interesting. If that had happened in the UK, with a big bag, it would have been treated as a suspected bomb, and destroyed!
