When I was sixth grade in elementary school, I remembered that I had done the most dishonest thing I had never done before. It was that I told a lie to both my teacher and classmate, and it really impressed me because I felt guilty for what I had done even many years passed.
One day we had a physical fitness test of sit-ups, and teacher declared twice that every student who counted the number for his partner must remember clearly how many times of sit-ups he did, or he should do the sit-ups again because of your carelessness and wasted more time. And I remembered that one of my classmates whose group was in front of mine forgot how many times of sit-ups his partner did, and the teacher was so angry that he scolded him loudly and made them do again. Then it was my turn to count for my partner, and I was thinking what would happen if I forgot the number while counting the number for my partner. It was until that my partner had ended doing sit-ups, and I came to realized that I forgot to count the number for him. Seeing teacher was so angry to whom didn’t remember the number, I decided to choose the number at random. “20” I said, and my partner complained that it was 50 actually. In order to improve to the teacher that I was not lying, so I explained to them that there were thirty times of sit-ups he did was not correct because of wrong action, so I didn’t count them in. My teacher believed me in the end, but actually I didn’t know exactly what the number was. I felt so sorry for my partner but I didn’t let him know the lie I made.

This story is so strange.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I don't understand why a teacher would make you do sit-ups: you should be outside playing sports, not trying to strengthen your stomach muscles, which are still developing.
And why does it matter how many sit-ups the kids do?; and why would your "carelessness" make the teacher angry enough to start shouting? He must be a very impatient person!
