Nash's Lab6 Homework

Big Five Test
The big five test is aimed at analyzing one’s personality. The questions are designed as the antonymic pair in the extreme sides with five levels in the middle, and the examinees have to choose which level best fits oneself. For example, there is a question about open and private. If you think you are close to open, you can choose the first or second level near the open option. If you think the two options are Ok for you, then you choose the third level in the middle. Those are how the test processes.
My results of this test are as following, 75% of extroversion, 50% of orderliness, 58% of emotional stability, 61% of accommodation, and 38% of inquisitiveness. I am not sure if the results are correct to me because I am still exploring myself. However, I think there are some disadvantages in the process of this game. First, I would be confused by the given questions, because I didn’t find the connection between the antonymic pair. Second, if the designer could provide the analysis describe in sentences, which would be better for the examinee to easily and quickly understand. But this test truly helps me understand myself more via the percentage of each personality. I still think this test is worth trying.

  1. This is all rather complicated sounding. Would it be a good idea to provide a link?

  2. I also like this test. When I study "introdution to psychology"(心理學概論) last semester, the teacher also recommend this test because of its credibility that can integratedly summary one's personality.

  3. I also did this test and I think it is quite interesting, although the test questions are so many that my eyes felt tired when I do that test.
