The most honest thing I have done

I remenber that when I studied in the elementary school, I had a good friend. His parents had divorced when he was a little baby, and he was brought up by his mother own. One day, he told me that his mother was sick seriously, and he asked me if I can lend him some money to help his mother. As a elementary school student, I didn't have pocketmoney yet. As a result, I took fifty dollars from my mother's wallet everyday to help my friend. Few days later, Mom asked me that whether I took her money. At the beginning, i denied it imediately. After few times of asking, I finally confessed. Mom wasn't angry then. She told me to give her my friend's telephone number, and she wanted to make sure what was going on. To my surprise, my friend's monther wasn't sick at all. He cheated me! After this inccident, I learned a lesson that ''Honesty is the best policy'', especially when we were kids.
