Johnny's lab5 homework

Actually,I really had a good time in the class last week, because we had chances to discuss the brand new
issus, including racial discrimination, police website and so on.On the other hand, we could know some of
classmates in class beacause of "computer microphone" which was very cool. However,I really payed attension to Task 2. As I remembered,I read "I have a dream" that was written by Martin Luther. After reading it,I felt touched and agitated. I think people born equal. Everyone has same right to live,to pursue thier happiness no matter what color or nationality they are. Then I found some information about “Keep Australia White” policy.

The policy was dismantled in stages by successive governments after the conclusion of World War II, with the encouragement of first non-British and later non-white immigration. From 1973 on, the White Australia policy was for all practical purposes defunct, and in 1975 the Australian government passed the Racial Discrimination Act, which made racially-based selection criteria illegal.( based on google)

During that time, white people set a rule that people from other country have to take a "language test" in order to cheak your nationality. In fact, the main reason was to cheak whether you were white.I think it was not fair.Although immigrated people was majority, they didn't have equal right in that country.

Racism is still a big problem in our world. Everyone have their own advantages, ability to survive. We should respect everyone. As a saying goes," Don't judge a man by its appearence"

  1. Very interesting. Please don't quote directly without citing, though; and check the spelling of "paid".
