Thomas' Death Penalty HW

Death penalty, which is also called capital punishment, is an artificial method that can end a person's life easily. Some say that it's what killers deserve while others say it is against human rights. And I think that it is absolutely inappropriate to kill a person no matter any reason.

We all know that we're born to be equal. As a result, there's no one who have "the right" to decide to end any other person's life, even government. Death penalty supporters may think that those who had killed people should also die. But I don't agree. Because human's life cannot be valuated in numbers. To a single person, life imprisonment should be the most severe punishment.

On the other hand, there is possibility of misjudgment. According to a study, American judiciary institutions has a misjudgment ratio of seven to one. That is to say, there is one misjudgment in every eight death sentence. It's extremely unfair to those who are innocent but sentenced to death. Since after the punishment is performed, it would be irreparable.

To avoid the situations mentioned above, I think it is necessary that death penalty should be abolished.
