Travis's death penalty homework

Death penalty has been existed since long time ago. People use it to inflict punishment on criminals which commit extremely merciless crimes. Because of its serious consequences by committing such kind of crimes, death penalty can be efficiently used to prevent crimes from happening.

Nowadays, human rights are becoming more and more important, and be taken seriously by more and more people. There are doubts about whether people should allow death penalty to exist in our society. Some people say that every life is special and sacred, and they all have their own rights to live in the world, so no one can take other’s lives away without their permissions. Hence, they against death penalty for it will infringe upon people’s human rights.

As my opinion, I think death penalty has its own necessary reason to exist. First, it is truly more efficient to stop crimes from happening with death penalty than any other punishment. And the second is that it can uphold the justice and soothe the hurt from victims and their families. The against say that it violates the law and deprives humans of rights to live, but have they ever thought that those who are sentenced to death penalty have broke the law first and taken others lives away. As the saying goes, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”, a murder kills someone, then, he should make up for his mistake by his life. I think it sounds quite reasonable.
