I choose the news which is about “Review of student fees launched “from BBC. I read it from my BBC daily email. It is a controversial issue about students’ education rights. Some opponents said that this review will cause higher fees and lead to poorer students priced out of prestigious universities. As for as I am concerned, I agree with the opponents’ comment. The payment should be contingent on the income after graduation rather than ask for students to pay. It might deprive students’ of rights. Fortunately, this review will be determined by general election. Therefore, all of that is uncertainty.
After reading the article, I found some vocabulary that I don’t know. I use the websites given by teacher to figure out. My favorite resource is longman website. I think it is very useful to me. Take “stitch up” for example. In some websites, they can not find the word because of that “stitch up” is a phrasal verb. However, the longman not only search the word out but also give me a brief explanation. By the way, the longman website also provide the pronunciation, which you can choose British pronunciation even American one. The website is so convenient and easy that I can figure out many words by doing so. I have bookmarked longman website on my notebook computer!!

A lot of people in the UK object strongly to the extremely high fees charged to foreign students -- often many times more than the local rates.
