I chose the news which topic is "Depression link to processed food" from BBC. While reading this, I felt amazing because I didn't know the connection between the depression and processed food before. Certainly, I was faced with some unkown vocabulary. And I found websites given by the teacher are very useful.
Among all of these, I like the Longman website best. Its simple background but rich content attracted me. I look the word "congenital"up by using these websites. From Longman, I know not only the most basic function of a dictionary, that is, the meaning, but other ways to use this word. For example, "a congenital liar" means someone who is a liar that has been for a very long time and scarcely can be changed.
In Thesaurus, I got many information that is rarely seen in dictionaries, such as the origin of the word. In addition, it provides the related words phrases and many synonyms.
Because of these sites, I can read the news smoothly. Dictionaries are always useful in this international world!
