Charlotte's animal rights homework

When it comes animal experiments, we usually associate them with many adorable animals such as mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and monkeys. As far as I am concerned, I am definitely opposed to the experiments on animals because they are too cute and innocent to receive such cruel treatment. However, people always take advantage of them to conduct experiments in an improper way.

After reading the three articles from the websites, I finally knew that human beings do not only experiments on them but also kill them when they are not useful. The number of animals is shocking as well. People do animal testing on medicines, household products, and other non-medical products in order to assure the products are not harmful to humans. Nevertheless, the truth is that because there are many differences between humans and animals in the testing, the effect on them are different. Since we can't get the results we want, why don't we stop it?

I am extremely support the BUAV because the animals aren't born with being the subjects in the experiments and die unnaturally. With technology, I believe we can accomplish all the things without experimenting on animals. Also, we should respect the animals rights because not only humans but other animals are a part of the planet.

  1. It sounds like you learned a lot from reading the website contents.

Do bear in mind that most of the animals are specially bred for the lab. They are, in a sense, born to be experimental subjects.
