The lab class is different from before. I can practice listening on my pace and repeat to understand what they talked about.
The dialog is about writing an ad. Due to the slow speed and speaking clear, so I can understand what they said. The carpet’s ad is interesting and impressive. The next tasks, BBC news, is much more difficult than previous. In the beginning, I couldn’t follow the speed and completely realize what the speaker said. Then, I tried to listen more carefully again and read simultaneously. Finally, I could gradually understand, follow the speed and use to the accent. It’s my first time to have English class with computer and I think that this way can improve my listening skills.
Randall’s listening site: http://www.esl-lab.com/credit/creditcardrd1.htm
BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/arts_and_culture/8302815.stm
The first link is about student credit card and many students have credit problems in Taiwan. Maybe the student credit card is essential to part of students, but understanding how to manage money is more important. The second link is about an artist created a dark sculpture by steel and people can walk underneath it.

The difference in difficulty between the BBC and Randall's site could also be because you are more used to an American accent. Of course, it's important to be able to understand all accents of English.
