Hewitt's lab class homework

First of all, I have to say that I'm sorry for posting this late; sometimes I just couldn't find a way to remember all the things I got to do.
Last week was the first time I took the English class with a computer, so that's quite novel and interesting to me. I think it's really a good idea to do so, because students can get the video/radio clips which teacher wanted us to watch/listen to immediately and more clearly, instead of watching the big screen or listening to one CD player in the front of the classroom. And the other thing I like about it is that we can take the tasks in our own paces, so that we can go through the tasks more thoroughly.
I remember that we listened to the"Flatmate" by BBC, and this task was really a challenge for me, but after playing the radio track again and again, with and without texts, I can finally understand the sentences in the radio. And the next subject we took was the news which depicted the argument between Ryanair and Sarkozy. I don't really have many chances to learn news in other countries, especially in English, so I pretty like this task. I also remember that we listened to a radio advert, a talking carpet. The last thing I went through last week was a cloze test adapted from a news, and as I recall, it was not an easy one. And I didn't know that we can find so many resources to practice English on the web, I am sure that they would be really helpful in the future I study English.
But there's one thing I thought could improve about the lab class. If we can't hear your commands clearly or see your writing on the blackboard due to the much longer distance and the fact that we're all using computers , sometimes even with headphones, thus we can not follow what you want us to do in the class, and then it would all become a mess. Last week's class didn't go like this, however I think there should be an effective way you send messages&commands to us during the class.
Nevertheless I still like the lab class, for we can learn in a more "personalized" way, hence we learn more in the class. The following links are some things I found either helpful or funny on BBC .
